Finding 3 close gathering points.

So I'm a level 10 botanist, and I'm finding that I am FORCED to go to the points that my skill points me toward. I read in a guide that I should find 3 points that are kind of close, and rotate between them, but when I try this, they aren't available. The only point I can really find is the one my skill directs me toward. Also, the maps that list gathering points seem to be wrong as there are points tehy dont show, and points they do- are non-existant.

I'm wondering what I can do to fix this? I'm likeing botany, but I don't like running 300 yalms between logging points. It woudl be nice if I could find a nice spot with 3 points, and rotate.

Any advice please?

Generally, you have to BUILD such a setup. When you first arrive in an area, most of the points will be nearly exhausted and vanish after one full gathering activity on the tree. By knocking those off, the longer-lasting trees will crop up. After about 5-6 trees, you'll probably find your Arbor Call sending you in a triangle of sorts, with up to 200 yalms between trees.

If you're lucky they'll be close together, but often, you'll still be running around 130yalms from tree to tree. +/-100 yalms. :p

Don't like the configuration? Try exploring a bit with Triangulate to find any remaining nearly exhausted trees - knock one down and it'll throw a new sustainable tree into the mix and might work in your favour. It's somewhat of a lottery.

This is how I've been leveling mining to 45, but on mining nodes.

In short, Arbor call will always take you to the nearest tree. If you don't like the distance, let Triangulate give you an idea of where else you can search. Get closer to it than where it was directing you and Arbor call will take you to the new nearest tree.

Only place i know with 3 points really close is in Humbleheart, at that elevated room. Black shroud maps favors this kind of thing thobecause you rarely will find trees at halls, having the points clustered at rooms most of the time.

You just have to explore, with experience you will find the nodes that are relatively close together.

for your question about the maps, the reason the maps show a point that isn't in game is because not all points are up at all points in time, they disappear and reappear as people gather fromt he points
