Duty Finder Needs More Options

I really wish they would look into more options for duty finder registration.Check boxes or something that allow you to pick your needs such as learning party, practice, experienced anything that can group you with like minded players because waiting constantly 45+ minutes to have someone ruin the entire party within 5 minutes is incredibly tiresome at this point.

The last few days its been the same thing over and over its like you can't get anything done anymore.I think this last week alone I've seen everything and I seriously feel bad for alot of these new players the amount of times today alone I've seen the vote kick option pop up cause someone died on their first try is insane. I really hope they consider something like this.

It'd be nice, but that would also cause major problems for the queue times. And in all honesty, to avoid that, the people who queue specifically will end up getting grouped with the people they didn't want anyway (since they'd just select everything to queue faster).

The more options you add the longer it will take for the matchmaker to find a suitable party.

As nice as it would be to group with like minded individuals, that would make queue times even worse than they already are. I think the root of the problem is that experienced players are unwilling to run things with less experienced players.

Experienced players being so reluctant to run anything with people who are new, combined with the extremely linear content gating the game has, makes it incredibly difficult for new players to work their way through content towards things like Leviathan Ex, even if they are skilled enough to do it. Every group in the Party Finder is always "Kill xp required" of "Not a learning group", and duty finder isn't much better with people dropping out after only one or two wipes. Exacerbating the problem even more is the fact that if you try to make your own group and label it a learning group, nobody joins. I think that is partially because people don't want to waste their time on a group that isn't going to end in a kill combined with the fact that the community is pretty segmented on who needs what primal to progress due to the linear gating.

I don't know what the solution for something like this would be, maybe something along the lines of what Tera did, where the first 10 times you did a dungeon, you would increase loot drop rates so that people who are experienced will want to bring new players through.

Currently the language division on top of the data-centre split (Only people on your datacentre will be matched with you) is enough to bring queues to a standstill, this would make thing incredibly difficult to pair.

You simply won't find enough people eventually who will want to "Practice" Titan Hard Mode over time, which complicates matters.

Even as a tank I wouldn't want bigger ques for this.

You should be able to directly join a friend's DF if they need help.

DF run and the healer bails. You have a friend that could join but them joining DF in progress is no guarantee that they will be able to help you. There should be a request you can send and if they accept, it puts them into the instance.
