The whole reason I kind of unsubbed was because I was slightly bored with the game and I wasn't playing a lot so one day a guildie asked how much the subscription cost was in crysta and I accidentally changed my subscription payment to crysta. I knew my subscription wouldn't renew so I just left it like that.
However, the real question is, what has changed in the past few months? Has any new content come out? any big changes?
Levi hm and ex, primals and coil 1-5 now have the echo buff to help those who cant clear without it. Turn 6-9 added, moogle Ex and finally an ilvl raise and more relic quest upgrade grinding :/
Why not just read the patch notes?
just like the post before me check patch note!, you became bored of the game but still you do not play much?
The best way is to wait one or two months before the first expansion in your case,
If you are still bored?! then this game is not for you.
Normally, a game that has been out for a long time have more content, while new game can be a little slow start, but I still think that FFXIV has succeeded anyway squeeze new things as often as they can some games I've played, I've had to wait maybe a year for new content.
