Will Odin ever be offered as a trial as opposed to a FATE?

I only ask because I feel as though being a FATE cheapens the experience of the encounter. There's only so much you can do with FATE mechanics given the zergfest nature of them, turning him into a proper trial would not only allow for the potential of a more interesting fight with proper mechanics but also bring the chance for proper loot.

I know prior to release Yoshi-P said that they'd consider making the old primals (Titan, Ifrit, Garuda) into FATEs as a way to keep them relevant long after they've been eclipsed by newer content. I don't know if this is still going to be implemented, but I would imagine that Ifrit/Garuda/Titan would likewise be made easier in their FATE forms otherwise things like Searing Wind would just wipe out entire swathes of the playerbase participating. Why not do the opposite with Odin?

i do hope too that at some point they bring us Odin as Trial too with him reward and some neat stuff.
Odin is one of the major summons of the Final Fantasy.

they are the major summons and i feel sad that odin didn't get it Trial.

Although is a neat idea, (Seeing how if you don't have a linkshell telling you when Odin spawn, you'll never even get to meet him.) He's supposed to be a elder primal, too powerful for just a few heroes to take on. He's supposed to be powerful enough that takes legions of warriors to bring down. You want to make him an 8 man raid? 24? That's be disrespecting him. Even so, it'd be cool if they do bring him into a trail but gives other loot.

not now that sure, but by example at the first expansion, when we have become powerfull enough for face him at 8, can be a nice idea. and don't forget, maybe he was wounded because of the fate allowing less player to face him, for an ultimate and epic battle of legend.

Being included as part of the mind-numbing FATE system is far more disrespect in my mind than being offered as a fight people actually care about completing which involves less people. There is nothing epic or memorable about Odin's current battle. It's just a swathe of level 50s showing up, beating on him for 5 minutes as his HP evaporates and then using chain LBs at the end.

The Warrior of Light is a veritable God slayer who rises to the occasion to defeat the primals even in their most powerful possible incarnations. It stands to reason that even if not now, eventually it would make sense in the scope of the story that they would be able to defeat even the Elder Primals.

The whole idea is, Fates are not going away anytime soon (ATMA anyone?) Why would SE Nerf them further by taking away one of the two awesome bosses from fates? Just saying.

They don't have to remove them from FATEs, just offer a separate encounter in the form of a trial. There's no reason that two encounters can't exist alongside one another.

But there is, the Odin fate would be useless, why would you even consider facing him (on the fate) when you can farm the trial? He's a rare primal that appears only every two days, I think is good for the game, so content don't go so stale when everything you want is just right there, easy to get.

I remember somewhere that Yoshi-P mentioned Odin will play a big role in a Future Storyline but I don't remember where.

So i'm guessing eventully once they begins to start diving deeper into Odin's lore in FF14ARR.

Make the rewards for the FATE turn-in and the Trial different, wow that was a hard solution to think of.
