Auto Zone Out Defeats Point of House

Since the change that anytime you do an instance or anything from inside the house it puts you back outside, our house is perma empty.

Millions spent to build and decorate, but now we can't really hang out in it. No longer do we see group members piping unnamed out yo populate the house. Just mobs milling about the garden.


I get that this was a measure to help the servers. Please look into ways to allow us to stay in the house in the down time between instances.

yea I'm kinda bummed that I go to sleep in a bed and "wake up" standing outside the door

I agreed with this. Plus, can we get an answer for the ridiculously low item limit for large house?

I suspect that the bottom line is that they implemented housing and then suddenly discovered that it was a really bad idea, because of the increased load on the servers to keep track of all the items in the house & c. So now they're backing off from the whole housing thing. Really, if they'd just given us mog houses from the start, as in FFXI, people wouldn't be upset at the stuff that's happening now.

Exactly - I've suspected this already for a while (and have mentioned it in another housing thread here too) but they're definitelly struggling with the whole housing system / project and I believe they have some fundamental flow or bottleneck in the housing desing and / or it's linking to the world servers hence the silly sky high housing prices and newly introduce limitations like zoning out nad loosing the houses after 35 days of inactivity (despite this being specifically denied by devs / Yoshi earlier!!). Don't keep up your hope for the personal housing either - it will be same or most likely even bigger fiasko - they'll again try to limit it at first bo some ridiculous prices and then by some other stupid restriction to minimize the uptake :(

I would love to see this changed, too.

I am personally responsible for the appearance of my company's house and have spent much time, as well as gil, in decorating the house and making it a pretty, enjoyable place to hang out. The problem is people only come in to go AFK for the night or to craft for a bit. If somebody's doing duties, they just hang around outside because they don't want to keep zoning back in everytime.

Apparently this changes was made for determining "35days no access the house" ,
in other words, players are forced to exit the house, so no one is in the house.
Of course, I would like myself pop at where I gone as it was more interesting.

Please make it happen SE. I'm tired of hanging out in the garden when we have a beautiful interior that we can't enjoy unless we're fooling around.

Especially now with items that have an "once on" upon entering the house if a member of the FC is online inside of the house at the time. Items including the new manor instruments and T9 item rugs will activate once on their own when walking in for everyone to hear / see.

Pretty disappointed with this atm.
