Question about Atma farming on PLD

To obtain atma as PLD, do you need to have both the Zenith sword and shield equipped or can you just be using the sword (with some other shield) ?

Does it change the odds at all equipping 1 vs 2 ? I'm guessing no but figured I'd ask.
