PS4 Digital Pre-Order

Hi all...

I played FF14 during the last beta weekend and had a blast. I would like to pre-order the game digitally and take advantage of the early access perk. However, despite spending a couple of hours doing research I have yet to find a way to do a digital pre-order of this game. The SE website talks about pre-ordering the digital product, but does not actually allow you to do it. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I could get the game pre-ordered digitally?

Ideally, I would like to avoid a physical shipment and I want to make sure that I keep my character from beta. I have seen info on getting the PS3 version and upgrading to PS4, but that seems convoluted and I'm not sure if I would actually keep my character from the PS4 beta?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Best way and cheapest is to buy the PS3 version and upgrade on PS4. Your character is tied to your square enix account so it won't go anywhere.

I have this same minor problem as well, but I do not trust this method yet.. since the official release is on 14th of april.

But the PlayStation Store did say something about Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn being able to be purchased.
But the stores states that I already have the game in my possesion, whilst only having downloaded the BETA. Which was from that same page which makes it not possible to purchase from it unless they update it.

I personally would recommend buying a physical copy from a store, or pre-ordering it.

I am at a loss too, so I hope more people will have a solution to it. If not, we probably havr to wait for the PS4 release.

Like you I observed the same listing on the PSN store. PSN is offering the PS4 client for free, but it does not actually give you access to the game. For that you have to purchase an account. Yes, the entire process is extremely confusing.

Since I already had a credit on my PSN account, I went ahead and purchased the PS3 version and only ended up spending $10. :) I checked Mog Station and it does look like it will take in my beta character with no problem. Ill download and register the PS3 version when I get home tonight, and hopefully I will be able to transfer my toon over on Friday.

So how does one buy the game on PS4 digitally then? I can only seem to find the free client or PC downloads or Retail copy versions available for preorder. I cant find anything for the PS4 digital "code"

Well - the digital copy on PS4 is not available yet - if Sony will not mess it up should be available for purchase from tomorrow, if they will mess it up most likely Monday then ...

It's very confusing. SE's product page talks about a digital download option for PS4, and even gives pricing information for it. But neither they nor any of the retailers they mention are selling it.

From what I've read, there isnt going to be a Digital preorder for PS4 through the Playstation Network. It will only be available on Monday the 14th. However, you can get the PS3 version now and add it to your SE account, and starting Friday the 11th at around 1AM PDT you can upgrade your PS3 license to a PS4 for free.

I too was in this past beta and was wondering about the characters. I did purchase the PS3 version and they were all there. I'll be upgrading to the PS4 license tomorrow.
