Can't log in on PS3

I'm hoping that someone can help me here. I've searched the internet and the forums and can't find the answer.

I have the PC version that let's me log in fine and works great (until 2.2 in which it lags horribly and crashes at start up on my Surface Pro 2 which never happened throughout 2.1). I went out and bought the PS3 version because I saw it for $25. I added the code to my PSN account, downloaded the client from the disc, updated launcher, and tried logging in, but I get an error saying there's no active FFXIV account.

As I said, I've looked everywhere for the answer and everything tells me that PS3 and PSN accounts link automatically, but it doesn't seem to be happening. If there's a way to do it manually or if there's possibly a different problem, could someone help me out? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried logging into Mog Station and seeing if there's something else you have to do there?

I think it only links automatically if you buy it from PSN but the actual disc should be a code you have to enter like on the PC. Have you tried checking the mog station?

Yeah I went to the MogStation and it says that it doesn't handle any PS3 service options. Actually, I tried that before even trying to log in on PS3 because I thought that's how I had to do it in the first place.

Just an update: got everything working now. Apparently the PlayStation Store didn't accept my game code the first time I had entered it, lol. Thanks for helping guys.
