I'm a lvl.47 bard and I need to get lvl.49 to continue the storyline, so I thought I could do levequests while in duty finder to get exp. But I have no idea how to start a levequest, and I can not find any information on how to anywhere. I go to a levemete and they pretty much tell me that i'm not strong enough, but I've went to the levemete in central thal which is for low levels and he tells me the same thing. Am I missing something?
If your starting city was Gridania, you should be able to receive this quest from the Levemete inside the Adventurer's Guild:

Check to see if that's in your log. If that's not there see if you already have a levequest accepted in your journal. If so, you need to go to the area specified, click the levequest and then click the initiate button.
You seem like you have the pre-requisites done to do this quest as you have a job (which requires you to do all your class quests) and you've progressed through the main story. So not sure if it's just an oversight or something.
