PS4 Controller and Keyboard

I am seeing if anyone knows of a way to possibly use the PS4 controller for general gameplay, but then use a physical keyboard for the chat window - I did not see a way, but am hoping I have overlooked the answer to this question, and the setting in the game.

Yeah it just works.

Ah, ok - it must be my keyboard then. The PS4 recognizes one is plugged in, but it doesn't respond in-game. Thanks for the quick reply!
