Tank in Leviathan EX

well i played with a Tank in Leviathan EX

he was OT and i was MT

we made it to the guy who cast hysteria

at first i thought OT wasnt stunning at all so i asked him after the wipe if he was stunning or not

he answered as yes so i gave him another shot while i was focusing on him to see how he was stunning

and that guy was trying to stun dreadwash ( yea dreadwash the un-stunnable move )

i said to him you have to stun before he start casting dreadwash he refused as dreadwash stunnable

i told him i know the fight and killed leviathan 10 times while i was OT other members of the party were saying the same

and that guy was still insisting that its possible then quit and i was like -_-

i never thought giving advices is bad idea or am i imagining?

advice is frowned upon, same as not taking all points of the game seriously.

If they get mad at you, its only because you are probably right and they don't want to admit it. Its common human behavior.

To give unasked advice is bad, to give unasked good advice is fatal.

Dreadwash is not unstunnable per se.
The add just happens to build a stun resistence really quick while not stunned, after a while he just becomes immune to it which it usually is by the time it casts Dreadwash.
We usually stunlock it and never have trouble. We start it like 5 seconds after it spawns, then just stun again 2 secs after it wears off, by the time the 3rd is done the add dies without getting anything off.
If something goes wrong you can always have a summoner or white mage knock the add away to interrupt his cast.
I'm well above 70 kills now and so far it always worked. The mirror has yet to drop...

of course thats what i do

the add follow a certain rotation before it cast dreadwash

Ruin -> Ruin -> Darkness ( not always so sometimes it skip it ) -> dreadwash

so the best bet is to stun it after the 2nd ruin to give your team as much time as you can before stuns wear off

Dreadwash is technically stunnable. Dreadstorm is not. If Dreadstorm starts to be cast, the hysteria puddle will not be stopped unless you manage to burn down the add before the cast finishes.

no, he is correct, I can confirm dreadwash (unavoidable mass hysteria) is stunnable but dreadstorm (aoe hysteria) is not, when you try to stun dreadstorm you'll get a "Invulnerable" warning. Getting dreadwash stunned is much more important when the guard rails are down during the last 15% phase of the fight.

the easiest way to deal with that add is do it like dreadknights in T5, stunlock and burn it down. Only start stunning when it's below 80% health, too early and you'll end up getting resists, other melees should refrain from stunning until after the 3rd stun.
