BLM dps

What numbers do you hit with sustained dps?

I am not talking about turn 4 aoe inflated dps. What numbers do you hit on turn 5, 6 or 7? What numbers do you hit for EX primals?

Seems like BLM is always way behind good mnks, drgs, and brds when it comes to single target fights.

I hit 214 at the end of my last Titan EX run with my iLvl 90 BLM without the LB. It depends on the fight. More movement, lower DPS. From my experience, we're specialists. High burst and AoE damage, but because of the Astral/Umbral stacks and MP regen, we are not high on the sustained DPS list. My i90 DRG can stay north of 280 on Titan EX, for example.

For me it comes down to knowing the fight like once I get a grasp on the bosses specific rotation and mechanics I'm able to maximize DPS because by then I will know what I can get away with while still dodging mechanics when needed. I can't quote specific numbers since SE decided to take their stance on such programs that offer said numbers but I'm always riding threat behind main and off tank which is a decent indication of DPS.

Yes, currently BLM is on the lower end of DPS chart. From current content.

Could you point out how and where you do AOEs / Flares on the EX primals incl. Leviathan? Would like to compare the dmg outputs

Generally, you would only want to use flare when the fight fulfills below condition:-

1. Multiple adds gathers at the same spots.
2. Pushing DPS at the last few seconds (Win or wipe scenario)
3. When convert and swift cast is available and you foresee no use of swift cast in the later 60 Sec after you use them now. (Double flare; triple if use mana pots)


Garuda:
Razor plumes phase when everyone stack to lure Razor plumes together. You only flare when that happens.

Titan:
Never unless you are trying to break Super bomb or push DPS before enrage happens.

Ifrit:
Never, unless you are trying to push DPS before Enrage.

Levi:
When two adds gathers or when an add is at the head location (Very suitable for double/triple) flare.
When you try to down spumes.


Flare isn't always a DPS increase. If used incorrectly, it will even reduce DPS because after flare, you need to convert + Ice III and finally go back to your normal DPS rotation which takes forever.

On titan I tend to Flare the goal below titan esp. on heart phase.

A nice way not to go into Blizz3 is to continue with Fire 3 + Fire 1 and then to use Blizzard 3, with around 250 Piety thats no problem

I am so sorry for confusing everyone by typing convert, i mean transpose.

If convert is ready, i would Manual cast Flare---> Convert----> Swift cast Flare

I double flare the first set of egi adds on Titan and triple flare the second set if overall DPS of the party is low but always double flare both sets it puts my DPS quite high.

Good point - I usually tried to flare 1 the 1st add + titan and then the 2 adds together - never tried to flare 2x 2 should consider for the next attempt
