Copperbell Mines HM Issue with Crystals

Not really sure how to explain this one since I've only been here a couple of times.

Issue is with the last boss and the Worm/Crystal mechanic. I've tried it with both an SCH and a SMN and the result is typically the same. I understand that when you pick up a Crystal, an option to 'drop' said crystal is supposed to populate on your Pet Hot-bar. Given that both times I have seen no such option, I assumed it had to do with the Egis or Fairies and their abilities utilizing the entirety of the pet hot-bar.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there another hotbar space that this 'action' would occupy, or a way to manually hotbar the action itself?

I am sure this is a very silly question, but seeing as how no one I've spoken to so far can seem to assist me in come up with a solution, let alone understand the problem, I am out of ideas. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I've seen SMN move the crystals before. Have you reorganized your UI? If not it may be opening the bar up where your pet bar already is so you can't see it. Other than that idk what to say (don't play smn/sch myself) :\

PC or PS3? On PS3 the pet hotbar is weird and sometimes overwrites other hotbars so you should leave your normal hotbar upwhen you pick it up, NOT your pet hotbar.

Its PC. I eventually figured it out. I have my pet bar tucked under my minimap on the lower portion of my screen. When I'd pick up a crystal the 'Drop' action would stick out right above my Pet hotbar, but due to the way the UI works, it would be hidden 'behind' the mini-map.
