Atma weapons

I understand why the actual stats are the same as the zenith, but has it been explained why the physical damage for the i100 weapon is still the same as i90? Sorry if this thread has been made already, couldn't find it!

I think there are like 10+ threads talking about this xD

Don't think about atma as a "new better weapon". Think more as a "base weapon to be upgraded". "Atma" is just a change of name, while "Animus" is the real upgrade

Yeah. It just seems odd that the i100 weapon stats physically are the same as the i90, but you are right in terms of the just a name change.

Think of it as a crafted item with materia, they have a set limit to how high stats can go per Ilvl, so if they left it 90, the stats wouldn't have been able to be upgraded book by book, and the increase to the damage is the reward for doing 9 books, and is what ultimately brings it up to the cap for a ilvl 100 weapon.

For each book you complete, the Relic Atma gains stats though...
