Creature in Arcanist Guild

I was running around Limsa and happened into the Arcanist Guild and noticed what appeared to be a beast man there. It did not look like one I had ever seen before, but I am by all means a novice when it comes to lore and the such.

I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this creature there or had any idea as to what it was? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but could not find any search result.

You can see more of them in Camp Bronze Lake. They're basically another Beast tribe in Eorzea, but I assume like the Goblins, they have some friendly some unfriendly. They were more predominant in Vana'diel, the world of FFXI

Mamool Ja are beastmen that have recently come to Vylbrand. They are typically hired as mercenaries. They are a neutral faction like the Goblins, as in they're not outright aggressive against the Five Races. (yes, in the world they show as aggressive, but they're not like the Amal'jaa who kidnap people and have them tempered by Ifrit to be their slaves)

You know, the first Germanic tribesmen in England were welcomed by the Celtic tribal leaders who planned to use them as mercenaries against their fellow Celtic tribes. And now... England is Anglo-Saxon, not Celtic.

One of the mamool ja is involved in a FATE that makes it clear he'd be allowed to use the facilities at Bronze Lake... if he weren't a pervert harrasser who'd been making a nuisance of himself around the female Mi'quote clientele.

I think I remember hearing somewhere that they were hired to help rebuild immediately following the Calamity. But their contracts have expired, and they're stuck up in the area in and around Bronze Lake.

As has been stated, the creature you've seen in the ACN Guild is a mamool'ja - like a lot of monsters and races in the game they actually originated in FFXI (in this case, the FFXI expansion pack Treasures of Aht Urhgan) - they've been newly added to FFXIV, hence why the FF Wiki page on them hasn't been updated to reflect this yet and only shows the FFXI version.

FFXIV lore wise they're not native to Eorzea but originated on the newly discovered 'far western' continent and were attracted east to Eorzea to help cover labour shortages following the Calamity. Because of this they're considered to be in direct competition for jobs with locals and are thus poorly treated, forcing a lot into banditry and crime to survive (the FATE '9 to 5' in Eastern La Noscea directly states this).

99% sure its a Fate by Wineport that says this (slightly NE to the East gate, probably half-way to the Castrum)

There is one thats wants to buy some sausages in Limsa too.
