Zodiak Weapon - "Eventually, it will have customisable stats"

A few weeks ago, in an interview with Yoshi-P, it was said that the Zodiak weapons will have customisable stats (I'm guessing secondary). I can't help but wonder this was possibly mistranslated and instead was talking about the current book system (Where you can choose books to upgrade only current available stats on the relic)

The reason I ask this is because I'm planning to upgrade my SMN relic. However, as most summoners will know, the SMN relic is equiped with spell speed which is a horrible secondary stat for us. I'd feel more comfortable upgrading this relic if I knew I could change this spell speed to something like crit or accuracy later on.

Would a dev be able to confirm this if possible?

I don't think it was mistranslated. Completetion of the books puts the weapon at the point where it matches its ilevel. There's 0 reason not to complete all the books (especially since it's not going to be the end of the quest). At some point, probably 2.3 there'll be another stage and I imagine it'll be something along the lines of being able to pick a customized 5th stat. The Zodiac line is going to span multiple patches.

He stated in a interview, 2.5 and 3.0 will have upgrades.
