Ever since the character information on the side was implemented...

A good number of annoying/troll posters have stopped posting.

Good job SE :D

But there are a few I miss reading for lolz :(

I myself am visiting a lot less, since I've started playing other games and have basically 98% given up on XIV.

It's also been enlightening to see how many of the people who vigorously argue their position on, say, endgame content, barely ever play or haven't played at all in months.

I really play the game! that's why they decided to implement everything that I whined for months

I don't think it made a difference, honestly. There's nothing preventing them from making a R1 troll alt, since alts are free right now.

It's incredibly easy to spot the troll alts/sockpuppets now and ignore them.

I don't troll, but I'm not interested in letting the whole world know who I am with the current state the boards are in.

Should it get to the point where I need a paid character to keep my anonymous status, I'll keep to not posting anymore. Maybe until a day where topics complaining about every thing SE wants to do is at an all time minimum. *thinks about that last sentence* Pfft.

Might I ask, why? I have never understood the idea of separating your forum and in-game name/character/etc. Only other than trolls of course, but you say you're not one!
