Question: I am worried about my SEN account and my Square-Enix account.

Hello there hopefully this thread will resolve my issue.

I took part in beta phase 1 on my playstation 4 and created an account. I've got to admit I was not expecting to LOVE this game as much as I am! I created a square enix account just to play the beta phase 1 on my ps4 and when the beta was over I decided to purchase for the PC. I did not create my account on the PC with the same square enix account I did for the ps4 beta phase 1. Now I have pre-ordered the Collector's Edition for ps4 and I am worried I will not be able to use the account I created on PC with my ps4 because I already created the account on ps4 for beta phase 1. Am I going to have to create a new PSN account just for this game or will I be good to go logging in with the same info on my PC?

SEN/PSN ID is tied to a single SE ID, then you pick a Service Account to associate with.

In your case, you essentially have 2 SE IDs, and your SEN/PSN is unfortunately tied to the first SE ID. You can try lodge a support call - not on here - to have it reverted but I have read cases that it is a fruitless request.

To continue using new SE ID, you may have to create another SEN/PSN ID - so then you have 2 SEN/PSN ID to use/switch between if you already have other purchases made under first SEN/PSN ID.

No the first Square enix account I made only had the beta phase 1 on it, I had made no other purchases. Alright so I will try to lodge a support question. Fail that it won't be too hard to make a new PSN account just to link with my current "paying" square-enix account since you do not need to be a PS plus subscriber to access online in FFXIV.

Quick addition, there is a section in the support tickets specifically for unlinking accounts. Obviously it is a common issue? I'm sure in my circumstance Square will sympathize, they now have a paying loyal customer!!! I did not think I'd play it past the beta (that is until I finished downloading the game hah!).
