I asked some of my friends what would they do if they would have 200 million gil, and all they said "buy a house" so I asked next "what would you do after buying a house with the same amount of gil?" they said "nothing"
There´s nothing really cool to spend my gil on, at least nothing come to mind right now.
So, besides buying a house what else could you do with a big amount of gil?
They are pretty much correct. Only other things I can think of are:
Powerlevel all your crafts to 50.
Buy and meld crafted gear.
Buy a bunch of furniture for your house.
I really don't know other than that. Pay for Titan Ex runs?
Buy materia (to save time on sb) to max out all craft , buy 90 gear to save time & myth . srsly gils in this game is only for house , or buy something to "save time" that's it ;)
Buy 99 of everything from all vendors in the game
Gil can buy you a lot of things.
Specifically, crafted gear is generally considered to be pretty high quality and the 3* stuff this patch I believe rivals some of the higher tier weapons and gear (save high-allagan and such). Melding materia to these pieces of equipment will give you even greater stats (stacking determination, Vit, Str, what have you) and help you power through content with gear that would be better than some of the stuff from soldiery tokens etc.
You can buy HQ gear and more importantly, if you don't want to spirit bind for ages, you can buy materia.
Buy those expensive Treasure Map Minions and that Baby Opo-opo
Buy premelded weapons for every relic
Buy grade IV materia for specialized melds
Buy a Free Company house (Soon to be Personal House)
Buy new i90 crafted gear
Buy the new spring dress that's crazy expensive for vanity
Buy AF gear for all crafting and gathering classes
Gil is far from useless.
