SE Needs to Re-Focus

I have posted how much I love Bravely Default.

I really hope this causes some shift in development here at ARR. Specifically, I am glad they expressed this lesson learned:

This game is the single best game Square Enix's first party has put their name on in years. Final Fantasy XII was the last game I can say i genuinely enjoyed before XIV ARR.


Thats including the FFXIII tragedy trio, and thankfully Lightning Returns flopped, so the delusional guy who keeps insisting they continue with that terrible series can finally get the message that nobody cares anymore.


ARR was the first good step in the right direction for square. They listened to feedback, they worked quickly, didn't get tripped up by Crystal Tools / Luminous / whatever the hell they're wasting all their money on at the time, and delivered an all-around SOLID TITLE.


Meanwhile, Final Fantasy Versus/XV has been in development longer than the Playstation 3 has been alive, and Kingdom Hearts III is being developed in parallel, and for whatever stupid reason Nomura is the lifeline of both titles? And we haven't heard zip from FFXV since E3 when they said they were no longer going to be silent about it? You'd rather make another shitty FFXIII game and terrible FFX fan novels instead?


Yeah. Square needs to refocus. I'm honestly surprised they even exist anymore.
