(DEV)an easy button game

one important factor i'd like in ffxiv that ffxi didn't have is ...the easy button. i want anything pvp or pve that will work like scenarios. where as u can just sign up for it and be playing within 5-10 mins and play for 20mins and done. something quick and easy to Join without all the running, without all the planning, without making groups, without the hassles . it was missing from ffxi and i think it is something that is needed, anything really easy to join when u got a 30mins time in between events, or waiting for a good time to craft, or when u just need a break from whatever.

if ffxi had this for even ballista i think people to this day would be still playing ballista. i know this ain't wow or a wow clone and i dont really like those type of games over ffxi but i think this is a really good thing to have for even ffxiv or any mmo for that mattter. something with a real convenience factor (not no leves or behest)

Are you talking about like an auto-grouping system that WoW implemented for dungeons and their battlegrounds? I would actually enjoy that for the new dungeons so it doesn't take hours trying to find people who want to do it when it's out of style. Actually when it first comes out I can still see finding full parties being an issue.

Also be careful when asking for an "easy button." Some people may think that you're wanting to whole game to be easy. That's the first impression I got from the title (or you were bashing the game for being too easy).

i'm talking bout scenarios, like warhammer, i think wow had them too. i'm not looking for pvp ...i don't care witch it is pvp or pve. the main part is that you can sign up with a little buton up by your mini map or something. and it zones u into it from anywhere u'r at when u hit ok when it's time to enter.

scenarios lol. but for ffxiv. pve twist or whatever.

though i do read there will be public dungeons so auto grouping for that would be cool to, but i'm sure they will make us run to each dungeon for that one, though some kind of consumables that port us right to it would be nice way to take some loot out of the game.

Not 100% sure what you mean now ... never played Warhammer, and it really just sounds like what I described in my post with the auto-grouping. Took about a 5 minute wait for the system to put a bunch of players together (across servers, which was a pretty cool addition) and the play took about 30 minutes depending on what you signed up for, PvP battlegrounds were 30 minutes long, and instances took about the same time or less if the group was good.

kinda that, but the main part isn't auto grouping though u can join solo or in groups. the main part of what i'm asking for is something to join like public dungeons, or pvp, or ballista or some kind of pve or pvp game.... but u can sign up for it anywhere in the mmo world, in city, at camps where ever. and it pops up a screen says when ready and then u join and it zones u into it.

main thing im asking for is something in game that is instant join, no running, no waiting around, no having to meet up anywhere. just click join, and go.

also i think wow has pvp scenarios like warhammer, but i think in wow u need to go to a npc in the city to join it. in warhammer u just have a button at the top of your screen that u can just click join on rather then go to npc. makes it more convenient, also i like the idea of all servers joining them rather then just the one.

In WoW it has battlegrounds, which I think is what you're referring to as "scenarios." But you can join those anywhere in the world as well. And I think having something like that to pass the time while waiting for something else would be pretty cool. Should think about creating another topic on this in the future when the game is ready for additional content like that. And don't title the thread "an easy button game" or something having to do with the game being easy. Got a lot of people on the forums who won't read something like that because it's misleading thinking that you want the whole game easy and everything just handed to you.

lol guess i titled this thread wrong lmao. though i still think the devs need to consider something like this in there game. it will probably be one of the things that thrives in the game and stays alive for long time over most mini games that ffxi had.

Definitely, I agree. Having something that's quick to get into without wait but lasts for at least 20 minutes and is rewarding in some way would be excellent. You'll definitely get my vote on that ^.^
