Retainer not getting experience

I have a 2 retainers, one I chose to be a miner/gatherer, hes fine and has been receiving experience no problem. He is the second retainer on my list. For first mission I chose Highland Exploration I, he came back and exp got him from 1 up to 9.

The other (first on list) I chose to be a conjurer, sent on a Field Exploration I, she came back, and exp went from 1 - 8. Thought that was a bit fishy but sent her off again. Next time she came back, items but no exp. Checked her character page and exp was sitting at 0/7350. Sent her on a quick mission then for 1 hr, came back, items again but no exp. The exp on the report popup said over 4000, and still she sits at 0/7350.

Anyone else seeing this? Or am I just doing something wrong? She has a level 1 wand equipped, but my miner only had his level 1 pick equipped until I started needing more gathering. It was noted plainly when he needed that, I'm not seeing any notifications for stat requisites for conjurer though.

The maximum level your retainer can get is your level in that class minus 5 (unless you're level 50, in which case it's 50), so I'm guessing your Conjurer level is 13?
