Remote Features for FFXIV a possibilty in the future?

I've been spending a lot of time at work lately, and when it's slow at my job I kinda wish I could log in somehow to do tasks that do not require a lot of hand-eye coordination, such as leveling crafts, trade on the market board, chat with the FC or LS etc.

I know another MMO has a phone app with mobile features integrated into the main game. (Mobile Armory, Auction House, etc.)

Do you think FFXIV will have anything similar? Would you be able to use an app like this? I know I would ;p

They did say something like this will be implemented in the past, but no mentioning of it lately.
