How do we access the small house basement? Is it something we purchase from an NPC, if so what is the NPC's name? I have been inside our house and do not see access to a basement.

It's a seperate room--take a right angle from the right side of the house.
My house was covered in furnishings had to remove one and saw that entrance ; ;. Thanks very much for the info :).
