Retainer noit gaining experience

Im on ps3, and my retainers been on multiple ventures, and yes i clicked on venture report, and it says i was awared xp but on my character screen for the retainers the experience is still showing 0. Very disappointed with this

I'd like to confirm the bug on the PC, as well. Might be class or equipment dependent.

Yesterday I have sent one retainer on a Fishing Exploration. Retainer was equipped with a weathered fishing rod and a Helm of Light. Upon return, I have received some items and retainer gained enough EXP to reach level 5.

My second retainer who, I chose to be GLA, was also sent onto an Exploration Venture. He was equipped with a weathered sword and a Moogle Cap. Upon his return I have received some items but retainer has not gained any EXP and stayed level 1.

Both retainers are showing completed ventures in their corresponding logs.

Additional info: My FSH is level 50. GLA is level 3. Do I have to level up GLA in order for Retainer to gain EXP?

Someone posted on Reddit today that your class level has to be 5 or more levels higher than the class you designate your retainer to be if you want them to get xp. The exception is if you're level 50, then the retainer will have a max level of 50.
