solution for those not able to update

I had the same problem, so i managed to download the client installer and then update while i was at work.
i got home and copied the entire squareenix directory from my external hard drive i used at work to my PC on which i run FFXI.

here is a torrent of the entire directory, it should work for you. i will seed it for at least the next two days. PLEASE NOTE: i used thepiratebay to host the link, so open it in firefox with noscript, or else you will see some very very NSFW images on the banners on the sides.

first of all i would like to thank you for your effort,. however, we need more seeds..i can understand the effort you are putting to help us mate, but it is going to take up to 3 days as download speed is around 170 max!!
