Zodiac Weapon Quest

Does anyone happen to know where the FATE's for this quest happen to be?

You can do any FATE in the zones listed in the quest log as long as you have your relic+1 equipped.

Central Thanalan: Atma of the Maiden
Southern Thanalan: Atma of the the Scorpion
Upper La Noscea: Atma of the Water-bearer
East Shroud: Atma of the Goat
Eastern Thanalan: Atma of the Bull
Central La Noscea: Atma of the Ram
Western Thanalan: Atma of the Twins
Outer La Noscea: Atma of the Lion
Lower La Noscea: Atma of the Fish
North Shroud: Atma of the Archer
Central Thanalan: Atma of the Scales
Western La Noscea: Atma of the Crab

According to FC/LS friends, the items are random drop, you need your Zenith weapon (Relic+1) equipped while participating the fate

my guess is the fate that gives you the items may have some relation to the monster of that fate.. such as the fate has scorpions give you Atma of the the Scorpion....

Can someone please provide the information for the name/monster/boss of the fate that they get the drops from

Fate rewards, some people got it with silver medal, not sure about bronze

Something isn't clear about this zodiac weapon quest.

Did I read correctly that after you get your 12 atmas, the resulting weapon is pretty much identical to the Zenith weapon? It is only after you buy the "trial books" that it is really upgraded to something better?

Yes. You grind a ton of fates for an i100 relic with i90 stats. :( The second upgrade has better stats.

I don't know what in the heck they are doing with this. This seems pretty stupid to me, how can you upgrade the iLv and not give it better stats? This is probably not going to take that long to get all 12 of these....we will just not get much else done while we are off screwing around doing stupid a$$ FATES to try and get a stupid item drop. I spent a lot time last night(morning) trying to get just one of these darn things in the Northern Shroud too no avail. I ended up quitting and doing the Main Story line instead so I can fight Leviathan sometime soon.

I really don't like this for Relic Quest design...they could have come up with something better than this. Why have RNG involved with a Relic Quest...they just want to delay everyone artificially again. How about just make the quest longer but at least you can do it with effort put in. With this method you can put in the effort and just be unlucky and not get your Relic...that sucks.

So can we get all 9 books this current patch and upgrade to animus?
