Promotion Code is Region Specific..... WHY!?
Just putting this out for any future promotions, in-game item SE may add in with another SE game for FFXIV.
It's already something that can't be fixed so I'll have to let it go after this one... but for god sakes in future I hope SE doesn't do this crap again...
SE's account registration, member page is region specific.... WHY!?!?!?!?!
I play 95% of my console games in Japanese version, I buy the Japanese version since the PS3 games don't tell you on the game cover if the JP language is supported on that version of the game.
now in FF13 there was a promotion code for in-game item.... so I bought 3x FFXIII - One for my Brother, One for my mom/sister (yes my mom plays FF...) and one for myself... to get 3 codes, one for my character, one for my wifes character and one for backup if my sister/mom wants to play FFXIV.
Now on the other hand FFXIV it has language options to play the game in Japanese even if I bought the English version and since I'm living in the US it's cheaper to buy the one here than the import... GOOD THING I DID!
For JP version FFXIV, the FFXIV registration code, you have to register in the Japanese region SE account, which means you have to have Japanese credit card since they don't allow foreign credit cards so I would of wasted money on buying it... the problem doesn't end there... promotion codes are also region specific; so now that I have 3x promotion codes I got from my FFXIII game (JP) that doesn't work on my US account... This really really really ticked me off when I first found out... (I'm OK with it now) but for love of god... in future promotion stuff, don't do region specific crap... it's stupid... if their are really in-game items that are region specific that is also going to start stupid race wars which is not needed... I don't want to buy a game in US hoping it has JP language option in there and getting a promotion code...
