Looks like WHM got the shit if of the stick. All the BiS are in the new turns of Coil. Don't get me wrong, my static and I will be able to do these once we figure out the layout. However, looking at every other class they can just purchase the new tome gear and be mostly if not full BiS...

Except the Tome gear is i100, not i110. You have to upgrade them to get i110. And the items needed might just come from Coil. We don't know yet.

Just for the lulz, I'm gonna add up the stat bonuses for the two Fending sets, just for kicks. I'll even bold the superior stats in each set. I'll bold them both if they're equal.

Sands of time comes from coil? Like you get 1 allagan piece and 1 sands of time?

Crafted armors continue to have paltry parry ratings in general, the i90 heavy wolfram set having around half the total parry score (47 parry) compared to Crystal Tower's 'Light' i80 tank set (89 parry). This is still an increase over Heavy Darksteel's 20ish parry.

we may be in for an era where iLvl is not what is important for a tank, but parry stacking because a lot of individual pieces contain junk stats that don't actually make us tank more efficiently despite having a higher iLvl.
