Server Migration

Is there anyway to migrate to another server without losing the excess gils of 3mil?

What are you asking? If you can change servers without losing the gil on your characters? Yeah, pay SE for a server transfer; your character is transferred. They don't take your gil when you move (AFAIK, anyway).

FYI: plural of "gil" is "gil" (no 's')

As per their site, I am onlu allowed to transfer 3mil GIL when migrated. Is there any update on this rule?

You can buy up things like allagan coins from the markets with your excess gil, and then resell them to an npc once you move.

Or buy things with value, like tier 4 materia or the former philosophy tome items. Then sell them on the market when you move.

I've been looking around on the gil amount allowed for tranfer and I found two contradiction information in the official sites

Here it mentions that the maximum is 3mil per character and 1 mil per retainer:

It's 1M per character and 100K per retainer. The 3M was back then during the free transfer period. Most you can do is 1.4M per character (1M on char and 100K on four retainers).

Simple buy these allagan sacks [quest reward bags] (gold /bronze/silver) in ah.
Since the amount of sold ones is really limited. Create a new char on new server and check if you can buy some items without loosing to much.
