When the game launched SP/EXP gains were dynamic based on participation in battle. Mages, more specifically healers were punished greatly as many remember. This statement I link above from the Lodestone on the 1.18 guildleve changes just shout to me, dynamic gains for completion SP. Will we again see healers punished for “Less Participation”? I heal but my function is no less than anyone in the group.

You'll be punished for less participation with the team.

You'll be prized for high participation with the team.

Now, what does that mean?
If you slack the leve and follow one member of the party for common cases ("Need to pee" "Have a Drink" "Watch grass grow" and so on) you'll participate less in the battle and you'll be rewarded less.

In the other hand, when you actively participate into the leve battle, your participation will be prized even more, so you'll be encouraged to not watch grass grow.

And I think that this thing equals with healers and their healing rate.

Can you say without reasonable doubt that the new system including partial participation will count healing? The game still has broken but existent links to the Dynamic SP system at launch. (See what happens when fleeing mobs go to yellow and then reclaimed).

Im only speculating as well, maybe SP gains will be equal for all, but Id like to not be punished because I choose to heal. My participation is no less than yours. Leves are for solo content coming up, but still linkable which means still counted as group content. Some groups need healers, but dont punish healers with some half baked partial participation in the completion SP formula.

I mean, the Healer plays an important role on the party. Why making it suffer SPs?

LOL mages were punished. wonder how so many people got THM/CON to 50 in less than 2 months back then, while the same really couldn't be done with any other classes, except maaaaaybe ARC/PUG

I think this is only some kind of no clear translation from JP->EN.
On the German Site (im from germany) it say this:

so there is:

1. How fast you complete. in both the same

2. the recommended and actual rank, also the same in both

3. but on the third point it says in the german verion, that SP gain varies if someone helps you with your leve (i think they mean without leve linking)
there is never mentioned in the german that you gain less SP when you do less actions.
so well you can discuss now, what translation is right or wrong. but i think they not mean that you get Less SP just because you attack 5 times less than the other person in your party.

You still cant prove it, and neither can I. I am just pointing out a glaring issue with the statement on the Lodestone.

Partial Participation will be in the formula for calculating Completion SP. That was stated. What constitutes Partial Participation? Personal DPS/Overall DPS? Actions taken/total actions taken?

Point is, neither you or I know this, and Im asking the question. Maybe our Friendly Neighborhood Malboro Man will clear this up.
