So I've been fishing, and now I'm curious!

So, I've been raising an awful skill (IMO) for completions sake, and have been reading a few of the item descriptions of certain aquatic wildlife.

Firstly and most significant to my interests, the Dark Sleeper.

As I understand, we'll be hearing more and more about Othard and Doma in the coming patches, and massively so in the expansion (new race!) but for now, I'm content waiting for new landmasses, but exceedingly excited about the idea of restoring a fallen monarchy of an exiled prince's heritage. Quest-lines, woo!

Garleans: "We killed all blood relatives of the halfling kingdom"
WarriorOfLight: "Oh no you didn't!"

• If this son came to Eorzea, there must be some record of him living in The Black Shroud (86% of Dark Sleeper is sourced in the Shroud)
• What was the reason for him to have been exiled?
• Did he not consider the effects of introducing external wildlife into a new ecosystem!? If this was Australia...

Secondly, the Tiger Cod.

• Tigers? Oh lawdy, are we expecting some kind of heated savannah climates, roasting beaches and... Lalafells in hula dresses?

This isn't a cry for more information from the devs, but more of a discussion as to what people think/know about the prince or monarchy of Othard, and what they expect to happen when Othard is unlocked to us.

Oh look, another Lalafell ruled kingdom... At least there isn't a cat-kingdom yet.

Interesting ideas, but after thinking about it for a bit, there really isn't too much to go on in regards to this other than what is already known, and particularly on that first point (about a lalafell prince from the east being exiled to Eorzea), after having Occam's Razor applied, just comes across as 'an old myth that might have had some bearing in reality, but most likely is wrong' (especially as it was already stated in the past the ancestors of the lalafell in Eorzea came from the south, not the east (from the island nation of Mercaydia).

And even if it does turn out to be true, another lalafell ruled kingdom is only natural, given the fact all the races of Eorzea originated elsewhere, so it stands to reason that each race would have at least one country ruled by one of them. ;)
