Ninja map adjustment?

Earlier today, my map timer was up, and I spent over 40 casts trying for a boarskin map before giving up on it.

I didn't have a boarskin map in a bottle in my inventory, but I did have a boarskin map key item on me.

I thought they were all called treasure map when turned into a key item when they were first released.

Are you now unable to gather a map with that same type map as a key item? I know you can have both the key item and the same type of map on you as of this Monday; I and a few party members did it for a peiste map hunt.

I usually often a map deciphered (yesterday for example) , and fish another one before going treasure hunting.

Sometimes I get it right away and sometimes I did have to wait 30+ minutes.
