I upgraded the 3 accessories to DL except 2nd ring so far which is HQ i49. What main piece should i get next? Is even getting full DL still the norm or enough to run other higher stuff like CT.

Full DL "left side" is very easy to get. Between Main Scenario DR, CT and WP runs its a matter of few days. And you can run CT in ilvl 60 gear easily.
Right now most go pants first because allagan pants drop in t5.but head, body, hands and legs are all bis.

I personally just buy the DL gear that replaces my lowest level item I currently have.
If my lowest was a ilvl 40, I want that thing gone!
Personally, I'm skipping the DL gear completely (at least the main body pieces, I bought the belt and all accessories) and going straight to CT Ballad gear, followed by the ilvl 90 Bard gear. I hate the look of the DL bard gear, there's nothing really bard about it, IMO.
This didn't hinder me at all either, because I just got my relic Artemis bow this weekend by only having equipped the Ifrit bow, the level 50-55 Choral gear and the DL belt and accessories.
EDIT: I did have the ilvl 90 Bard hat, forgot about that. But, still =)
@OP, get right into CT. Make sure you get your piece every week. If you haven't unlocked the hard mode dungeons and pharos keep it that way for now so you can utilize roulette for easy WP and AK runs for the myth bonus. CT gives you 200 philo, you'll be full DL in a week if you have some time to go through. Not sure what you have in addition to your DL accessories but you are probably geared enough for any of the 50 content outside of extremes/HM/Coil. I see players in CT with AF1 from time to time. The rest of the raid will balance it out. I wouldn't be stepping in hard modes/pharos at ilv 55 but thats just me, again many players do. They are doable at that ilv but the party will have to be patient with the kill speed.
I'd also consider focusing your philo on your relic. The item needed costs 900. Your DL will get replaced by CT over time. It would suck to spend 820 on the body and then have it drop for you that week... not sure how far along you are with relic though
Awesome thank you! In my relic quest I am up to the point of fighting all HM primals. I have a good FC who is all about doing content and running for relics. I've actually done Ifrit HM several times when I was less then i55 level. I just didn't know if it was worth spending phil when like you said I can hop right in to CT for better gear until I spend myth.
ct every week, spend your myth on the right side, try to ct the left side.
Get ultima choker ( better than myth choker ). Get garuda EX ring.
Get w/e DL gears really, they get upgraded quick enough. Next patch will see the myth cap removed, so the above info is pretty much just what I did , but will be out of date as of next patch lol.
