FFXIV ARR player poll

I'm gonna post few polls and just want to keep it simple for now. Will contune to create more polls on other in game stuff and im open to poll questions. Will post final results in few days.

1) yes i like it.

2) pace is fine.

3) any faster and bards would be useless. Any slower and whm would NEED a bard

Like Davionx said. I would love to see loot get a tad more varied. Like shoes that boost movement speed. Or gloves that increase parry rate.

I'd like a poll to know if people would like a return of skillchain and magic burst.

It's kind of sad we have so much skill but we only focus on our own rotation. FFXI's skillschains were nice in the sense that playing as a team would definetely improve the party overall sucess. Now you do your stuff, everyone in your party do theirs, i'm sure even if others character were not display on your screen it would be the same :(

This game is more about dancing than fighting, they might as well add jump requirements so we can add that to our "blinking ae gtfo" rotation.

Loot could be revamped for movement boosts and jump bonuses!

You might as well give us something to do with our entire one hotbar worth of useful abilities



.. Or take the dancing out and let us influence the battle through abilities, it has the added benefit of being fun.

I don't think they will ever change the combat speed because pushing buttons stresses people out. The more buttons people push the more they get stressed out, so it has to be slow.

Looking at the results so far leads me to think, 1.0 players need a time machine because their game is never coming back. 1.0 was bad and is thankfully dead.

Like active block mechanics? Or doubletap to dodge? Or what?
At least give concrete examples...

Stun/Silence can already influence the battle... Too bad a lot of people still can't figure that out...

1) I'm content with the game. Not absolutely in love with it, but comfortable enough that I won't just leave when another game comes around. Hopefully the game will grow even more to my liking as time goes by.
2) If it were up to me, we'd do one of two things: Either reduce the GCD to 1.5 seconds and make skillspeed/spellspeed vastly more potent (like back in WoW 3.4 when my Death Knight had a 0.6 second GCD, good times) or adopt combat similar to GW2 where it's a hybrid between traditional and hack n' slash. Combat is the part of the game I dislike most, but oh well, SE seems absolutely dead-set on how it is now. I'll get over it.
3) It sucks to run out of mana on my White Mage, no doubt. However, I can't say for sure if I'd actually change it or not.

See, for me it's the opposite. I tend to get really uncomfortable when combat is moving too slow. I had that issue at first with FFXIV, though I've sort of grown used to it after ~6 months. But back during my warcraft days, I legitimately switched from an Arms Warrior to a Frost DK because Frost DK's could get their GCD under 1 second. I have no idea how people can main DPS in FFXIV, it so damn slow...
