Will Auto Attack continue while stacking battle regimens?

Just a simple question~

If any community rep could get an answer that would be awesome!

One of the major setbacks with Battle Regimens is how the system stops you from doing anything while your group stacks commands. I was wondering whether the implementation of auto attack in 1.18 would be addressing this by allowing auto attack to continue while stacking commands.

Hopefully, battle regimens as they are implemented now will be a thing of the past by then.

Nope. They still haven't decided what to do yet regarding battle regimens.

they taking off battle regimen and rebuilding it from the ground up if i remember right they adding skillchain from FFXI even allowing us to do combo with our-self without the need of a party member i guess to help solo.

Yesthey did they said they going to see to allow players to do combo while soloing maybe read one of the interviews and you would see what i read. they no longer going to use battle regimen and rebuild it is that the currents plan? who knows but they did say they going to see to allow people to do combo ws by them self

Well as of right now, I have no serious problems with BR. It is more effective than skill chains ever were, if done properly. There's a lot of minor problems, this issue being one of them, alongside some others like the lack of any cool visuals or indications of what is actually going on.

Been doing Eft parties on low level class and just started a 4 man all DPS group (All of us have r50 THM/CON or both for heals) on raptors. We each BR light attack/heavy attack and by the time the first BR is done the raptor is at half health and we all have enough TP to do another WS BR which finishes the job. Raptors die fairly instantly save the time initiating the BRs and getting TP. We were killing them about the same speed as a full party of r48-49s, while we were r40, r44-46. So, I'm not really arguing about the effectiveness of BR or trying to have a discussion about that...

I'm just entirely focused on whether auto attack will continue through BR. They've stated, as someone else in this thread, that they will not be making major changes to the BR system this patch; so, I'm just curious whether they've decided to allow auto attack or not during BR, and if not, why? I personally would be greatly in favor of having auto attack continue through BR, but if it doesn't I'm willing to hear good reasons :).

Probably because you could keep the br debuffs up indefinitely and your auto attacks would benefit from it 100% of the time. Wouldn't really matter on party mobs but NM's with massive hp they'd go down that much quicker.

Not really a solid reason not to, personally I think it's retarded to be sitting there staring at the mob while you wait for the br to finish.

I suppose I was assuming auto attacks would no longer benefit from BR, otherwise it would be hard to BR at all if auto attack interrupted it.
