I would like new ground targeting options.

It would be very handy for me if for example good status effects that need ground targeting would just default as being cast under your character, for example Sacred Soil. Then I could just press the macro and Enter and boom it would be where I am standing.

Then again abilities like Flaming Arrow, why can't it default under my current target? Just think this would be handy.

Otherwise you could keep controls the same, aka if you move your mouse after pressing the button then it starts targeting the ability like it does now.

Because I want to actually place my flaming arrow where I choose and not have it default under a single mob. By placing it you can encompass the most mobs (watch it drop under your target and then not even touch the next closest mob). And you would REQUIRE healers run into an active mob area to place a defensive spell when they are already casting it from a safe distance.

But wait! You can run in and run out without dying you say? Can everyone else?

But my suggestion would still let you place it wherever you want. >.> Just the starting point of the games suggestion of where to put it would be altered. Feel free to throw the ability anywhere you want, regardless. :P

I try to use keyboard only, and the mouse cursor auto-hides. My issue is that the cursor, once hidden, takes forever to find and get displayed, so I get delayed in using the ground target abilities.

GW2 has an option that when you hit a ground targeted ability it places it where the mouse pointer was when the ability was cast.

I really wish it worked like that and the AoE ring centered or snapped on to your target but still allowed you to move it if you wish before casting that ability, instead of just kind of appearing whenever you used it last, could even be a toggle in the options or even just a macro would be great.
