since almost everything you can craft ppl get from quests and better versions from dungeons , theres not a high demand for crafted items, however ive noticed that black dyes for example sell alot better probably because they cant be obtained elsewhere.
i think to help the economy crafters need to get more unique , good looking items that cant be obtained elsewhere
Supposedly, more vanity items will be available next patch, items that should not be found anywhere else but from the maker. So I think they are already doing this.
If I had my way, I would have them remove all gear save low level (1-5, 10-15 at max) from NPC vendors. There are enough players and enough items floating around to offset any potential problems, and this way people leveling up will either get their items from a dungeon (can be difficult) or from a crafter. This should naturally give a lot more staying power and make the stuff they can do relevant to anyone that isn't already a crafter. I would also remove NPC repairs, again to make sure crafters are sought out and needed.
Of course the issue with severe undercutting would remain a problem but yeah, I'm no economist. I just know what has worked and what could work. No idea how to fix what's broken.
Taking away vendor items would the best idea personally. I know they took white coral away from the npcs and now I can make money off of them by fishing them out. If they would do that to everything then Crafters would be more viable and you wouldn't be stuck with all that low level nq junk that barely sells.
I didn't know they removed items already.
That means there is a chance. If only.
