Recently re-activated my account, and I have been booted out of my Free Company. The people in there said they didn't kick me, and when I apply and they send me an invite to get back in, it says I can't join the company. They are not at maximum members, there is plenty of space. Would like to resolve this issue asap please!

I ran into this problem on an Alt toon. SE may have added the apply thing but its a bit buggy. Once you get the invite to the FC, you'll need to withdraw your app from the FC THEN you can join without a problem.
This happend to me too. Maybe your problem is different, but this is what happend to me at least. I sent an application to my freinds FC and instead of approving the application someone in the guild just sent me an invite, when I tried to click accept it refused to let me join the guild, it stayed like this until the application was approved. After it was approved the problem was resolved.
