Crafting/Gathering in patch 2.2.

Since the crafting/gathering forums are pretty inactive, I'll ask it here. Do you think they will introduce new crafting and gathering gear in patch 2.2? I think it's pretty much confirmed that there will be new 3 star crafts, but wouldn't new crafting gear make it an overkill since its pretty easy right now to guarantee HQ on 2 stars? But that raises another question, the 2 star control/craftsmanship requirements are already pushing it pretty far when you consider the current gear stat caps. That makes you wonder if there's no new crafting gear, what would be the 3 star control/craftsmanship requirements?

As for Disciples of Land, it does make sense if they increase gathering/perception requirements for new items because right now, their stats are pretty useless. It definitely doesn't need new gear because all you would need is materias melded onto your current gear. I just hope they don't introduce new crafting gear because all serious crafters have invested hundreds of thousands of gil on overmelding AF gear on each crafting profession. If you're one of those, what would be your reaction to see new gear?

After getting Arm / GS to 50 I just want the crafting gear not to suck. I feel it was a complete waste of time.

They just need to add more star crafting jewellery. We only have rings at the moment.

That won't be enough. That would boost you by a whole 5 CP or something.

Pretty sure they're going to add i70 crafter and gatherer gear, which will inevitably allow for V materia for crafters/gatherers. While the combat materia will be V for i90. Not sure the crafter and gatherer gear would need myth, since the i55 crafter and gatherer gear doesn't need philo. I'm presuming it will need philo and the new gatherer stuff.

I think they will release 2 star AF gear for Crafting. This will be required just to craft 3 star ilvl 90 crafting gear. There will be a big influx at beginning and then crafting will be useless again after maybe a month cuz i'm guessing Turn 6-8 will be faceroll and Turn 9 will stump people for weeks.

It will be useless to top-tier people after a month. But most people aren't top tier. I think it will be profitable for 4 months, possibly more if they don't get something as market-crashing as housing.

I wouldn't mind seeing i60/70/80/90 crafting gear.

I'd rather see Food/Free Company Actions play a role. If you've fully melded your gear you certainly don't need them to HQ two star easily (or at least, I haven't needed them).

I'd certainly be annoyed if they replaced the current gear already, but I guess it's something to work towards, even if I still haven't finished the iLv55 sets (since I don't buy materia and SB sporadically).

Crafting gear more or less is pretty irrelevant as long as you meet the requirement to start a craft if you have all the crafts leveled, you have almost 100% chance to hq anything in the game due to comfortzone, always hitting tricks of the trade, and master's mend 2 basically giving you an infinite amount of actions.
