Ask Questions for Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XIII! (Ventures)

Hey everyone!

We're pleased to announce the next Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XIII focusing on the many exciting updates coming with Patch 2.2! This next Live Letter will take place on Friday, March 21, 2014, from 2:30 a.m. (PDT) / 9:30 (GMT)!

In this thread we'd like you to specifically pose questions regarding the upcoming addition of ventures, various new tasks you will be able to assign to your retainers. In addition to collecting your questions in real-time via Twitter, we will also use this thread to gather your questions ahead of time and answer them during the event.

Will retainers be able to do any task that a player can't do?

What sort of limits will be placed on ventures?

Will these ventures be cheap or expensive? Relative to a character that maybe makes at most 10k gil/day.

Will a retainer be able to sell items on the marketplace, as well as participate in a venture?

Will summoning a retainer cancel the venture it was previously assigned to?

The ability for Fishers to make money is already tenuous in game, with only a very small fraction of fish being worth anything.

How will you balance the ability for retainers to catch these fish and still keep fishing actually worthwhile, as little as it is currently?

Will our retainers have to specialize in a certain skill in order to complete some ventures?

Will players be able to see Retainers out in the world while they are doing these tasks?

How effective will ventures be by comparison to a player manually performing their own tasks?
