T4: Bardic DOTs on knights

As we all know, significant chunk of BRD DPS comes from Windbite + Venomous Bite + Bloodletter procs. So yesterday i applied DOTs on both knights in phase 2... only to get scolded by FC member because "DOTs are magical damage, it will be reflected to you".

But i don't remember being damaged/killed by any reflect though and still think BRD must DOT the knights. Your opinion?

Don't listen to your FC member, he doesn't know what he is talking about. I use Bard in T4 and have always multi dot the knight.

Yeah...that is nonsense...I play Bard for T4 and Dot everything....LOL...no damage coming back at me...oh boy...the things that people say...

The damage isn't reflected.
Bard DOTs aren't magical.

Link this thread to that FC mates of yours, and laugh for the rest of your life.

As far as I know no dot ticks in the game are magical at all so it is even vaild to spread dots or cast them on them once in a while for casters since only the initial damage will return. But if you have 2 physical and 2magical DD´s this shouldn´t be necessary.

Wow, thats actually very interesting info.

Yeah, it's usually standard fare for SMNs to dot their targets then spread over to the one who reflects spells. Chew through them much faster that way.

In fact I think they aren't magical nor physical.
I usually fracture the soldiers in coil 4 and even if I deal 0 damage, I can see their life decreasing.
The initial hit however is 0, so the hit might be physical or magical (depending if it's a spell or weaponskill).

Wow that's awesome info about DoTs. The fact you can Bane over from Soldier to Knight to negate the Reflect damage is nice.
