---Ninja Looter---

So today we had our weekly FC run and invited a person to fill since one of ours didn't show up, "Ae*o Fa*l" from the Free Company "Knights of the Dawn". joined us and stole the loot.

Since phase 2 only uses 1 tank, both tanks accorded to "Greed" the pants that dropped.

enough to say he stole the warrior pants when he clearly stated he was only going to roll for white mage gear, and was previously told NOT to roll on this.


Well, let this be a warning, and prevent you from inviting this person into your groups, because he will do the same that he did for us.

I removed the name but it should be allowed to name/shame this kind of stuff to avoid this behaviours in our server, knowing there's no repercussion against stuff like this, promotes it instead.

While I appreciate your input I'm talking about the ninja looters and not about how we do stuff.

There should be seriously some kind of program to avoid this, WoW had this "Master Looter" mode to prevent this stuff from happening, while here... well there's nothing to prevent it.

If you have this situation in the future, just have both your tanks stay in instance and not roll on tank gear until everyone has left the instance. If your PuG player doesn't leave...have the tank that is playing tank Need.

Problem solved.

Yeah, it kinda sucks when someone does this to you, and i've had it done to me a couple of times, twice back to back in t1 and t2 actually.

Take it as a lesson learned, make sure there is a specific way of making sure everyone gets their deserved loot. As mentioned before, if dealing with pug's/fillers then make sure they leave the area before the intended person gets their loot and if applicable remove them from the party. If you make sure you are a leader of the party then you will always be in control as long as you remember not to get too excited because something you wanted drops and you immediately roll without thinking about those pesky ninja's.

It would be fantastic if SE could just understand how many problems not being able to see what others have rolled is causing. I mean seriously, it didn't cause any problems in XI, why change it?

There was a dev post saying that if there was an agreement done via text, they could go through the chat logs and investigate it, so I suppose you could put in a ticket if you really wanted to try.

I can confirm this, but you'll have to have your memory and/or chatlogs ready so you can give them information of how the events progressed in detail with timestamps.
