"Sell All"/"Give All" option, PLEASE.

It's a standard among any MMO that throws junk into your inventory constantly. You go up to the Item Shop when your bazaar is full, click "Sell", lock down the items you want to keep, and then click "Sell All". And you're done. Took less than 2 minutes. The game even remembers which items you locked down so that you don't have to lock them down again next time you sell.

In FFXIV, you choose the option "Sell", you click on each item you want to sell, a second window appears that asks, "Are you SURE you want to sell this?", you click "Yes". Then you repeat that window for every item you want sold. It can take an upwards of 10-15 minutes! And for the gold you receive for selling items to an NPC shop, you're better off just dropping anything unwanted from your inventory when it gets too full, or sticking it in your bazaar's extra 10 spaces. This is absolutely unacceptable.

It wasn't so much of an issue in FFXI, where items weren't piled onto you with each monster you fought. XIV has nearly quadrupled that rate of item acquirement however. The same selling method is just a tedious chore now.

I think that because it is such a huge time consuming chore, most players avoid doing it. In fact, for me, it's stopped me from playing altogether. The idea that another round of gathering and levequesting will gain me a garbage bin full of useless items I'll never use OR sell, is REALLY disheartening.

This is a much simpler, quicker fix than say, adding an AH or giving us more inventory space (from my point of view anyway). Is it unreasonable for me to be angry that the dev team hasn't even mentioned this option yet?

C'mon people! DEMAND IT!

Another idea kind of going on this theme I had but for loot was to make it so you could flag items to be auto discarded so they never clogged up inventory space again. You could have a blacklist of items and then if someday you decide you actually would like some of that item you just take it off the list.

i liked because i would like to have a flag item. it stinks if you are after a rare piece of gear and wind up dropping it because you didn't realize you got a zinc ore as well.

Multiselect function for inventory and such would be sweet.

Not that I don't agree, but this poses problems if there's not a buyback menu introduced with it. Forgot to lock down that Crab Bow+3? You just lost it forever.

That in itself is a fair bit of work. It's not as simple as adding a button that says "Sell Me" on it. You have to add another set of toggle-able flags to everything.

On a side note, I think this issue is kind of... trivial. Maybe a bit exaggerated. Selling like 60+ items to vendors takes maybe 2 minutes. (/flameshield on)

i think this falls into the "why cant this be done" that Yoshi talks about in the interview and producer letter. Probably something they realize but cant fix yet until the UI overhaul.

I'd also like something where you could choose to 'lock' items off so they couldn't be accidently sold.

Multi-select on items it's good.
But will never be a "sell trash" button, simply because every single item in this game isn't trash. Everything is used in some craft
