Cross-over play from PC to PS4 when released?

I would like to know if we'll be able to transfer our account or let us play to PS4 when the game is officially released?

If you're only on PC now, you'll need to buy a PS4 copy and register that to your existing account. Then you can play from either platform once it's officially released on PS4. You would still pay only one monthly fee.

Sorry to be a nuisance but are you positive about the only paying one monthly fee? I was thinking about getting this now on PC and on PS4 when it comes out, but dont want to have to pay for both accounts if that would be the case.

The billing system can be setup for many complex arrangements, but most people use the simplest case: One platform (PC), one set of characters, one monthly fee. To add another platform (PS4), you just buy the software and add the registration code to your existing FFXIV Service Account. Then that set of characters can be played on either platform (but not logged in simultaneously).

Thanks for the clarification I appreciate it. Just wanted to make sure if I was to buy it for both I could use the same characters etc.
