I don't see this anywhere else, but I'm curious to know if, should i buy the PS4 copy, will I need a new account and everything, or?

No new account, all you need to do is buy the PS3/PS4 copy, your character will be accessible on both. If you own the PS3 copy, you can upgrade to the PS4 version for free.

You will have to link your PSN account (Playstation Network) with your square enix account. You can do that on the PSN website under account management.

And people who upgrade their PS3 registration to PS4 for free get their PS3 registration overwrited with a PS4 registration (can't access the game with a PS3 anymore until they buy the PS3 version again).
