Make Achievement points usefull

Ok, achiements are cool, rewards are quite pretty, titles aren't since they can be seen only with Examine, and i still don't know what are those stars on some achievements. But what are achiements points? What is their utility? I can't even examine someone's points if not with lodestone(and i'm not sure about that). Add a store where i can spend them, buying some pets, mounts, barding and stuff like that. Or some rewards for them, like at 1k points you get this and this(maybe a different color of the name, or dunno). Make me want to have more and more of them, because now they are completely useless

I agree, as it stands the titles are meaningless. I would like to see a better managed achievement system.

I don't think we really need more rewards from the achievements. But I do agree that they need to make them more visible to other players. Having our titles displayed with our names would be a start. Letting people compare achievements earned would be another step in the right direction. Maybe having one or a few areas that are purely social which can only be entered by people with a certain amount of achievement points could also be fun and motivate people to get more.

I'm a completist so i'm doing them, but the rewards do feel somewhat lackluster. At least when the Vanity system hits i'll be able to show off some of the gear i've gotten.

Achievement points aren't meant to be useful, they're just there so people can say how many they have, rather than having to list all their achievements to compare. Other than that they're just there to gauge how difficult, or the worth of an achievement, although that kind of falls flat on its face when beating Coil once nets you 5 points, and beating Crystal Tower nets you 10...

I don't know if you are familiar with the modern idea of achievement points so let me humor myself for a moment. Achievement points are a bragging right nothing more. Even on MS live service achievements are merely such. Just be happy with some of the achievements actually rewarding you for your grind to it. So yes they are worthless if you are not a bragger. Doubt they will ever have meaning. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but what do you expect fr a system that was designed exclusively for a bragging system?

I hate constantly comparing ARR to GW2, but in GW2, you could receive various rewards based on your TOTAL achievement score rather than specific achievements. I believe the first reward was at 100 points, then 500, and then every 500 after that. The rewards themselves included titles, currency, exp boosters, dyes, various "for fun" items, and even unique weapon and armor skins.

I think it would also be neat to show our achievement point totals when examining other players, along with their gear, title, etc.

Its only meant for fun, you know vanity items, fun little titles, its not meant to effect the game and you shouldn't make them "useful" because that makes them mandatory. They are for fun, if your not having fun, don't do them.

I would like to see some reward for accumulating Achievement points, but nothing important. I always think minions make nice rewards for these things. Say a new minion for every 1000 points.

Maybe with a new achievement category where you unlock after every 1000 achievement points an achievement.
