GW2 looks awesome.

They look to be 2 different games though. GW2 is a bit more action oriented while FFXIV is more traditional in its battle system.

GW2 reminds me of a generic MMO, just like SWTOR ended up being.

You probably haven't been following it all that well then, to be honest.

That said, comparisons are stupid especially here. Considering guild wars isnt coming out till early next year (probably) I would expect FFXIV to be in a decent state by then. Right now though, no contest.

No contest considering one of the contenders can't even be played atm... neither depending on how you feel about xiv.

I have in fact played GW2 at a convention briefly, *** was pretty fun.

Honostly, im not going to lie, that would be cool if FFXIV developed an underwater battle system like how they did in FFX, maybe after the overhaul or after the PS3 release whenever that is. Maybe even in an expansion pack? :D
