Open world content poll
I really love this game and its dungeons are great however I would love to see more open world dungeons, events like hamlet defense and so on. Like this post if you agree.
Hamlet defense was an event from 1.0 that disciple's of war and the land took part in. Every so many hours it would happen and you would defend the hamlet an meanwhile crafters would be crafting to get debuffs on in coming mobs and on downtime between hamlet start time gather's would turn in materials to prepare the hamlet for the upcoming attack. You also got a currency from completing it that could get you some good gear. Also having open world dungeons to explore that are large with fates, gathering points and treasure to find with your treasure maps.. well who doesn't want that. More meaningful open world content would really help this game out.

Damn, thought I stumbled onto facebook.
I don't think anyone is going to be against open world content, except the developers.

If you guys agree then vote.

Voted for open world content. SE give us options to the force 8 man content ; ;

Shame they dont just let users make polls so we don't feel like people are just trolling for likes with "Poll" posts.
Your better off to give your thoughts on open world content, how it should be implemented and how it should develope into the future.

So... are FATEs not considered open world content anymore? What exactly are you guys talking about?
-
I think the other posters are referring to "More ORGANIZED" Open world content...FATES are a mess 98% of the time and the other 2% are somewhat organized when you have several Parties made up and people actually decide to "Play Right". Tanks dying because the darn Healers will not play their role and heal them is maddening. I am looking for them do do more stuff like "Defend the Hive" type content and make it so that it is Quest Like and you are working toward something instead of just killing a Boss Monster. I think that is coming in the future...we just have to be patient...game is still really new in this current version.

This is kind of the great weakness of this game right now in my opinion. They really need to understand that going to an extreme direction in theme park design will have long term negative consequences on the game world and result in the entire game feeling like one big instance.
I enjoyed the game at launch but quit, and now that I'm back am enjoying it again. After years of World of Warcraft though I can't help but see the negative effects on the "theme park model" in the long run and I'd hate for them to make the same mistakes. I still say they should have blended 1.23 more into 2.0, but it seems they were very conservative with ARR.
