Maybe not quite a "bug", but needs to be fixed.
The default proportions of all UI elements, especially dialog text and main menu items need to be adjusted. Players are 15 feet from the tv screen, not 3 feet from a monitor. This should be taken into effect when choosing a default text size.
10-pixel high menu text isn't readable from the couch
I would like to reinforce this. Impossible to play from a distance. Need to both change defaults of chat window and dialogue window.
Me too, playing from the couch is near impossible. Npc dialogue, chat window and the quest on the right of the screen too. Unreadable.
I agree on this. I have a 55-inch TV and sit around 10 feet away. The default text size is too small and changing the size needs to be an easy option.
Yeah. Need to be able to change the size of the dialog boxes. Also the log in screen using only a portion of the screen makes it difficult to log in (I wish there was a way to bypass the login screen all together, im the only user of my ps4, being able to click on the FFXIV icon and going right to character creation would be sweet.)
it can all be adjusted via hud layout settings but it's a hassle. i dont remember having to do that for the ps3 version. also, i cant figure out how to increase message board size. even though i can adjust font on it i'd still like the message board to be bigger so it can fit more text in. im doing side by side comparison with ps3 and ps3's message board is way bigger. maybe add function to in crease or decrease size?
Quest text bubbles and system popup messages like the ones telling you that you sold something on the AH are incredibly small in high resolution. I assume the ps4 version runs in 1080. As such I'd like to add that even the pc version suffers from this. I play on a 55" about ten feet away using my computer.this text is incredibly hard to read and there are no options to increase their size as they seem linked to resolution.
YES, please fix this! I bought a PS4 to play this game.... and at the moment the UI is better on PS3.
And why the hell do I need 10 hotbars? It looks like they just too the PC version and threw it on the PS4 instead of making a version for the PS4.
They really need to make it more like the PS3 version. The whole touchpad mouse thing is annoying as hell, and I don't want a dozen hotbars. I can't even get my chat window to increase in size, because by teh time i get the stupid cursor over to it, I can't figure out how to grab it to extend it bigger
